An Act to Amend Maine's Underground Oil Storage Law

Status
Established a state fund to provide financial coverage of the costs resulting from leaks in underground oil and gas tanks that are in compliance with state law. The law should help to prevent underground tank leaks by improving compliance with regulations governing the installation and monitoring of tanks. Coverage only available for tanks that are in compliance.
